SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Carell Corporation and Eagle Bending Machines, Inc, fast-growing national distributors of metal fabricating machinery have an immediate position for a motivated and qualified hands-on technician with basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical repair of machinery and components.

Duties:

• Hands On In-House as well as Field Service
• Telephone customer service, troubleshooting, diagnostic assistance and warehouse duties  including rebuilding / refurbishing machines and assisting in unloading & shipping machines.
• Assist existing and new accounts by analyzing technical support requests; planning travel schedule; performing maintenance and technical support both on-site and on the phone; resolving problems.
• Provide training at customer's location including set-up and start-up assistance.

Travel/Location:

• Technician to be based at our corporate offices and warehouse facility in Stapleton, Alabama on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay.
• Out of town travel in the US and Canada is required. Schedule may vary. Some months may  require several days, other months may require no travel. Applicant must be eligible for a  U.S. passport. International travel to Europe for Factory Training may also be required.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics. Experience with VFD's, PLC's, HMI panels a plus.
• Hands on experience with mechanical and electrical service in shop and in field under varying conditions a plus.
• Experience with metal fabricating machinery, and especially plate rolls, angle rolls, roll benders, presses and tube/pipe benders, ironworkers all a plus.
• Must be familiar with Windows-based desktop computers and associated common office software such as Word, Excel, Access, email, etc. Experience with Apple computers a plus.
• Individual must be organized and a good communicator. Superior customer relations is a crucial aspect of the job. Conversational level language skills such as Spanish always a plus.
